I already have a My.LaSalle portal account. How do I activate/access my e-mail? 

In order to access your My.LaSalle e-mail account, go to and enter your User ID and initial password.

Change your initial password using the Change Password link on the menu on the left

Enter your old password and your new password

How long does it take for my Google Apps Email to get activated? 

Your e-mail account is activated about three hours after you change your password. 

Why do I need to change my MLS password? 

Short answer: MLS and Google Apps are two different systems which are updated from time to time. To keep account details in sync, we run a scheduled tool every 3 hours to update changes local changes to Google Apps

Long and technical answer: Locally, passwords are saved in a proprietary manner made by Microsoft. These passwords are non-readable by humans and can only be read by the systems that work with Microsoft products. Google on the other hand requires another type of password hashing which is not anything like Microsoft's algorithm. Thus, through the use of a tool, we save new passwords in a manner that Google could understand and updates the Google Apps account. That password is then cleaned twice a day for security purposes. 

How do I login to My.LaSalle Google Apps Mail

Visit and enter your username in firstname_lastname format.

Is there a standardized format for My.LaSalle Google Apps e-mail addresses? 

Yes, there are two acceptable formats: name-based ( ) and id-number based ( ).


Full name: Juan Pedro Miguel A. de la Cruz Perez
First name: Juan Pedro Miguel
Middle Initial: A
Last Name: de la Cruz Perez
ID Number: 10144999

ID Number-based e-mail: 
Name-based e-mail address: 

The name-based e-mail address does NOT replace the ID number-based e-mail address. When sending e-mails using the My.LaSalle Google Apps e-mail system, one can use any of these formats:


NOTE: The name-based e-mail address is only used for logging in to the My.LaSalle Google Apps login and in sending/receiving e-mails. You should still use your student ID number to access your My.LaSalle portal and e-mail account.

Is it possible to change the initial password I was given to activate my e-mail account?

Yes, you may change your initial password to a new one you can easily remember, immediately upon activating your account.

Your My.LaSalle password MUST have AT LEAST EIGHT (8) characters. It should NOT contain part of your user name AND/OR full name. In addition, it should satisfy AT LEAST THREE (3) of the following conditions:

It MUST have AT LEAST EIGHT (8) characters.
It should NOT contain part of your user name AND/OR full name.
It must contain a capital letter.
It must contain a lowercase letter.
It must contain a numeric character.
It must contain at least one of these special characters: ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) _ + - = { } | [ ]
Examples of VALID passwords: cHarm3d1, charm3d#

You may change your password whenever you wish to by clicking on the “Change Password” link at the main menu of your My.LaSalle portal main page.

NOTE: My.LaSalle portal supports CASE SENSITIVITY for passwords, so make sure that you type your password accurately every time.

I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it? 

In case you forgot your password, enter your student number and click the "Forgot your password?" link.

I could not access or activate my account. What should I do? 

If you are having problems accessing or activating your account, contact the Help Desk through any of the following details:

Important Reminder: When e-mailing the Help Desk, do not include your password, information related to your password, or any other details used in activating your My.LaSalle account. This is to ensure the security of your account and our servers.

What is the storage capacity of a My.LaSalle e-mail account?

You are allocated 7 Gigabytes of space in your account

How many files can I send/receive via e-mail?

You may send as many files as you want as long as the total is less than 25mb ( 

What types of files can I send/receive via e-mail?

All files are allowed except all files having the following extensions or ending on the following format: (

"ade", "adp", "bat", "chm", "cmd", "com", "cpl", "exe", "hta", "ins", "isp", "jse", "lib", "mde", "msc", "msp", "mst", "pif", "scr", "sct", "shb", "sys", "vb", "vbe", "vbs", "vxd", "wsc", "wsf", "wsh"

How many recipients can I put in each e-mail I send?

If you are sending an e-mail to many users, make sure that your e-mail recipients are not more than 100 in number. Otherwise you will not be able to send that e-mail. (

Why is my account disabled? 

Your My.LaSalle e-mail account may have been disabled due to abuses in the usage policy. 

If you are prompted that "The username or password you entered is incorrect." kindly check your login credentials.

If your account is prompted that "This account has been disabled" kindly contact the helpdesk.
